La Habra Heights - A Quiet Community

La Habra Heights, California is a quiet community located north of the city of La Habra and just southwest of Powder Canyon in Los Angeles County. The community is generally free of the traffic congestion and other issues associated with more urban living. Residents enjoy an excellent golf course, Hacienda Golf Club, and a special closeness with the natural world of Southern California.

Homes in the area start around $350,000 with many residents drawn to the community by its peacefulness and sense of escape from city life. Real estate or land lots start in the $250,000 range; however, particularly desirable lots with mountain or canyon vistas can exceed $1 million. These lots are generally larger in size with some exceeding 15 acres. These real estate parcels can be ideal for the construction of more palatial homes than those that can be constructed in nearby cities.

Houses in La Habra Heights exhibit a wide range of architectural styles, including traditional, craftsman, and Spanish-influence. Most have two to four bedrooms with either two or three baths. The lot sizes are generally smaller - most often one acre or less - but they frequently include attractive landscaping. Many have been remodeled in recent years, adding amenities more common to newer construction, such as high-quality laminate flooring and outdoor entertaining areas.

Larger homes with four to seven bedrooms are also available in the community. Many of these lovely estates are valued in excess of $2.5 million. Some offer views that encompass everything from the city lights of nearby La Habra to more distant Los Angeles to Disneyland and even glimpses of the ocean. They are also landscaped for additional privacy. Many include swimming pools, tennis courts, and other high-value amenities. Inside, these houses have offerings like gourmet kitchens with marble counters, cedar closets, steam showers, wine rooms/cellars, stone fireplaces, and home automation.

La Habra Heights has a lot to offer new residents, such as golf and equestrian opportunities and city parks, while enjoying a location that is close to several major cities without having any of the drawbacks found in city living. La Habra is within easy driving distance of less than 10 minutes. Downtown LA is an easy commute of about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Many others cities of Southern California are close by as well, including Anaheim, along with good access to I-5.
